La Chamba Pottery Tagine

Each piece from the La Chamba range is handmade from terracotta and a natural clay glaze - perfect for serving straight from the oven to the table. Hailing from South America the La Chamba range has been loved by both top chefs and home cooks for centuries.
This Pottery Tagine Dish is perfect for a slow cooked fish, chicken or lamb tagine and can be used on the stove, in the oven and under the grill. All pieces can be used over direct heat gas, on the barbeque and even on an open fire. It will also sit nicely as a stylish display piece in the kitchen.
Clean with mild detergent and a sponge or put in the dishwasher. Wooden utensils are recommended.
Prior to first use: La Chamba items should be thoroughly cleaned with mild detergent to remove any residue that may be present from the firing process. Then fill each piece ¾ full with water and place in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 30mins. This process allows La Chamba items to seal. A complete seal is sometimes achieved only after items have been used several times for cooking.
